Originally from Southern California, Mikayla is happy to have found her salon home at Hightide. Her love of hair started young, as she often experimented on herself with a new cut and color—usually in her bedroom at 3am.

A theatre kid since age six, she's been obsessed with all things whimsical, bold, and avant-garde ever since. She aims to bring a creative, personalized approach to each look, especially loving razor cuts and fringe—sculpting details that completely transform how your cut feels. She also has a soft spot for vivid colors and isn't afraid to push boundaries with unexpected color placements/combos.

With a heart for wellness, she values the use of organic products for the healthiest results. Sustainability is a cornerstone of her being—she's focused on leaving a positive environmental impact while creating a beautiful experience.

Most importantly, she wants you to feel like you. Her chair is an absolutely judgment-free zone where you're seen, valued, and free to express yourself however feels right.

Away from the chair, you can usually find her spending time with her cats or working on some creative project—whether that's crocheting, painting, or hosting an board game party. She's a hobbyist at heart and always has something in the works.
